I wish the French had won just because Uruguay were dirty cheaters. How many offsides? Pull the other one.

I fucking HATE them  There's not even a hint of African beat in that incredibly irritating, monotonous buzzing that drowns most of the cheers, singing and other human voices that make a lot of the atmosphere.
But the horns from hell are not so loud in this second game, so I'm hoping it's really bad only in SA games. Otherwise I'll have to watch the games on mute.
Agreed. The commentators keep talking about what an amazing atmopshere it is there but sitting at home I really cant tell because all I can hear is the damn horns.
SA scored the first goal, can I hear the elation and emotion of the crowd that is such a huge part of international football? Nope just horns.

I've got a whole English pound riding on Portugal, you better not screw me over
You haven't watched Portugal play lately, have you? And are you aware that that prick Queiroz is our national manager? And furthermore, have you noticed that in case Portugal does qualify (I hope not, I want Sven's Ivory Coast to go through), most likely it will be as second placed in the group, which means that we will face Spain in the next round?

Not as impressed by this Argentine squad as I thought I would be. Looking forward to seeing some real quality footy this aft between England and the US. Should be a classic!
Sound the hornz.

England will start as they always do, with a draw or unconvincing win against vastly inferior opposition. They will continue in much the same vein through the group stage, narrowly managing to top what should be the easiest group in the entire competition. A comfortable win against a talented but limited Serb/Ghanaian side in the second round pushes the hopes of an entire nation to fever pitch, before a quarter final exit on penalties to France brings them crashing back down to Earth again.
Repeat every 4 years for 60 years until lightly roasted.

I get woken daily at 3am by my neighbour blowing his vuvuzela. I do not rightly comprehend the state of mind that would lead to this situation. I'd just like the Cup to be over so I can sleep properly again.
