Molto deludente prestazione in Italia! I was expecting a lot better.... The last 15 minutes were pretty good but chasing a game is not really the way for the defending holders to start.

After watching tonight's match, I believe that the Italians are serious contenders. The worse they play, the more dangerous they are.

Oh, you wanted an intelligent debate on it? Oh my bad, I must have got myself confused and misread what you posted. I got the impression you'd bowled in here saying you didn't understand how football had thrived with such a "stupid" rule.
Fair enough, especially given that I don't post about sport much on this forum. I appreciate the thoughts on the usefulness of the rule regardless.

Wowzer, I almost spilled my tea all over the work desk in shock after watching New Zealand's equaliser. Not the best game to watch, but congrats to them for their first ever World Cup point :D

Storming effort. They had a couple of good but sadly wasted attempts and I'm glad they sorted it.

Right, off home now to enjoy North Korea vs. Brazil. Even under Dunga's pragmatism this should be a fun game to watch.

Well, it isn't so far. What's wrong with Brazil?
I should have bought more beer for this evening.

Looks like the beer helped.

Ah, the World Cup:
South Africa 1, Mexico 1
Uruguay 0, France 0
Feel the excitement!

I love this tournament. Brazil 2, N Korea 1. 1. In the 90th minute. Love it.
NZ did themselves proud too and in fact I think they were robbed as the Slovakian goal should have been called offside.
Stop being so negative Brethren! It's all going to work out fine :thumb:
Spain tomorrow. Big guns coming out for some bang bang.
