Absolutely nothing. He's there to give you a laugh, nothing else. But he'll fight for you afaik, - but thats rather pointless, seeing as he's very weak.

Nope. It keeps on going forever and ever. I have fought an odd 10 times now.

i think leyawiin but i'm not sure
Leyawiin, yes. It's an Argonian. Can't remember the name. But you can still use your old fences, e.g. Ongar in Burma.

The reward for finding the Nirnroots is explained to you by Sinderion.
You'll be given 2x Potions of Exploration, which will be upgraded on 2nd quest, and upgraded further on 3rd quest (i think), haven't actually done it

The reward for finding 6 bottles is gold. A decent amount. You'll find the bottles more or less automatically as you progress through the game. They can usually be found outside the ruin or at the very bitter end of the ruins. Only in Forts.

Secret room is in the basement of the castle

The 3rd Elixir is 20 Fortify Health/Fatigue, Night Eye, 5 Fortify Skill (8 or so useful ones) for 300 seconds. You need 40 more Nirnroot for the fourth, and final, version which increases the skills by 10 instead of 5. After you get the last 40 you can get money for any further Nirnroot you find. I checked the construction set to find out, you'd have to spend a lot of time if you wanted to actually find the roots as they don't grow back.
Oh. My. God.
There's a fourth? Do the game creators have any idea how hard these roots are to come by?!? Jesus.

They're all over the place. Just look near water. And it's not like you acually have to do the quest. You'll probobly come near to completing it just by exploring once in a while and while doing other quests.

Consider the amount you have to find and the fact that they don't respawn like other ingredients. Getting the first two batches is fairly easy, just takes a bit of time and exploration. The third and fourth take longer because you can't just revisit the old places but have to find new spots and lots of them.
Some are very creatively hidden away, you may be able to find enough for the first 3 by just exploring every shore. But don't expect that to work for the last batch, by the time you get to it you'll likely know every single body of water very intimately.
