That was really interesting. Wow, the way that he delivered that passage made science seem like religious doctrine. But I suppose that the nature of theoretical science can compared be religious writings.

I always fall asleep watching Adult Swim, so I wouldn't know about anything 'feel good' to sleep to.
Unnh...falling asleep during
Tim & Eric...the horror...the horror...

Most of the Adult Swim original shows are even more unfunnier than Scrubs, TBH. Eg Aqua Teen Hunger Force? ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ, so lame.

I'd recommend Carl Sagan's Cosmos. It's got soothing music, ideas that are nice to fall asleep thinking about, and Sagan's voice is like a lullaby after a while.
And the music is by Vangelis, of course!

I watch Adult Swim for King of the Hill, ATHF, SuperJail, Moral Orel, Robot Chicken, and my favorite, Squidbillies. The rest of it is a real mix including some of the unfunniest shit ever (Delocated, Tim and Eric, etc)

The 3 seasons (18 episodes total) of Black Books have served as my before-going-to-sleep viewing of late. Wouldn't recommend it!
Now that I've shoehorned this show into this thread listen while I prattle on about it.
The first season is pretty good actually. Although you'll feel like you've heard some of the jokes before if you've seen Men Behaving Badly, or Bottom. Or Red Dwarf. Or any other Brittish sitcom centered around lazy hopeless losers in their 30s. So, most of them, really. However, by the time season 2 starts you'll be able to see the punchlines coming from a mile away if you've seen
any sitcom before, ever, at all.
Episode plots involve:
* Bernie and Manny(the main characters who work in a bookshop together but are total opposites!) have 24 hours to teach a violent mafioso how to read.
* Fran (Bernie and Manny's wacky neighbour) has 24 hours to get really good at playing the piano in order to impress her blind piano-teacher. When Manny turns out to be a natural prodigy a wacky scheme involving Manny hiding inside the piano is developed! When Bernie also wants to impress people by pretending to be really good at playing the piano things get out of hand!
* Fran decides to research her family tree but ends up getting more than she asked for!
* Fran decides to take up yoga but gets more than she asked for!
* Manny's parents are visiting town for a few days and Manny has been telling them that
he owns the bookstore. How long will this charade hold up!?
Towards the end of the series pre-fame versions of Simon Pegg, Jessica Hynes and Martin Freeman pop up in various episodes but fail to make the show any better. So if there's anyone out there who misses Bottom and Men Behaving Badly, and is slightly machoistic: check out the first season of Black Books. The season-finales of seasons 2 and 3 are alright too. I don't wanna seem like I'm ragging on this show too much because it does have...
something. Something that makes it transcend the silly plots and jokes we've heard a billion times before. I think it's mostly thanks to Dylan Moran and Bill Bailey's performances that gives the characters a warm, likeable quality. Makes you wanna hang out with them even if their jokes are shit. :)
Here is one of the better scenes, from the episode where Bernie and Manny have 24 hours to write a childrens book: (

Mushishi is very slow paced, serene and peaceful anime series. At least that's what I heard, I seldomly make it past the intro before falling asleep.
