What ever happened to that FM you were doing btw MrTrip? You were working on that, way back when I was developin Ancient.
Are you talking about that huge lab? I just got back into ShockEd and went to pick that back up, but alas I have long lost the .mis file :( so no more lab.
Its kind of depressing, that was probably the best stuff I have ever done.
I'm kinda limping along right now in ShockEd trying to remember how to do things, so far I have working doors and a working button to a door, but I can't remember how to do switching lights, or flickering lights with a sound, or a few other things I used to do.
I have been going from FEAR editor to ShockEd and back to FEAR this week. I really need to just focus on the FEAR editor since it has so many more capabilities. I had imported the SHTUP textures into the FEAR editor and used them on the floors and such, it actually looks pretty nice, but I'm still super super super new at that editor. Its all add to world instead of cut out of world, so lots of void to close.

Is it possible to use the FEAR editor to make missions for Condemned?

Your in luck there then. Theres a very high chance that I have a copy of that around somewhere. I never delete anything I dont have already backed up, where SS2 is concerned. Msg me on msn and I`ll send you the copy of it I have.
[edit]
Yep I definately have it. Or both of them I should say, since yours was a time traveling FM IIRC.

:wot: I missed your message on MSN, but I'll love you to death.
It was a teleportation experiment that went wrong and created rips all over the place, I only put one in, but I planned on adding the rest when I got time. Ha I love you.

Just bumping this one back up to the top to let people know I'm still working on these things...actually...amazingly enough?
I have ShockEd and FEAR going on dual screens, but still grinding teeth about FEAR and its Add to World vs ShockEd and its subtract from world like editor.
Its really hell closing up everything and going on. Not as easy as ShockEd and just cutting up things with fill air :(
I'll have some screenshots of my lame attempts next week, work has been crazy with holidays (I work at Target now in electronics...whee...)

Over the holiday break, I replayed SS1 and SS2, and I've got to say: leave these games alone! They are just fine the way they are. You know that no good will come out of this project. Replay the games and move on. Don't sully the memories of Citadel Station and the Von Braun/Rickenbaker adventures with your never-to-be-completed whims of fantasy.

Hahaha, let MrTrip have his fun and you move on, how's that? This remake might just be his way to pay homage to the games. It doesn't sully anything anyway.

Hi Chuck, Been around for a few years now and know it all eh?
Now, opinions are like...well...we won't go there, but everybody is entitled to them. I am not "remaking" this game. I am not porting everything over to a new happy graphics engine oh happy freaking day! I am simply taking the level architecture and updating it in a different engine to learn how to design levels in said engine. I am using a game AND game editor I am extremely failure with to copy the design instead of trying to come up with my own, and using it to learn how things are made.
A trained monkey can make a box in the editor, but it takes somebody with real skill to make something with atmosphere.
Read into the thread before spitting off your half way thought through comment. The only reason I am sharing this with the Shock community will be for input since nobody knows the game better than the people that play it right? Right.
And who cares if I never complete the whole thing? I'm only doing Medsci1 if even the whole level its self. I just thought I'd take the opportunity to add a few neat little elements to the game like for example, an all ready torn apart broken up door held the hard vacuum of space from eating up the whole ship?
(medsci1 hallway across from first monkey encounter)Don't worry Chuck, I'm not taking away your CD's and forcing you to play my level.
EDIT- Whoops, got off on a rant and completely forgot to update you all on my status!
I'm still learning how to manipulate rooms and brushes. I have nothing worthy of show right now unless you are all interested in my box with Shock2 textures haha

Oh, great! Yet another never-to-be-completed SS port to yet another platform. Brilliant!
If you dorks could ever settle on *ONE* *PLATFORM* and *WORK* *TOGETHER* you might actually *COMPLETE* *SOMETHING*.

I'd be more than willing myself. I can't quite tell if no one knows how to make models and stuff work for Source, or if they just don't want to invest the time, but everytime I start working on that damn project, I lose another hard drive!! >_<'! I can't tell if my power supply went bad, which is better not have, cause I spent 70 bucks on it, 3 months ago...
Anyways, my project is to recreate all the levels, and I hope to have it done soon, preferrably before that comit hits the Earth and retires the project indefinitely.

So, have you only used the FEAR editor and the System Shock editor, or have you used others?
