I remember a moment in the mechanist cathedral when I was trying to explain to a friend what I was playing. "It's like a sort of weird hidey-game. It's by the system shock dudes, seems pretty good so far". Then I stepped on the wrong bit of floor and a female guard shouted 'I SHALT CUDGEL THEE' and this weird clanking dustbin thing fired an actual, fizzing bomb into my face, and we were both very impressed. So that one.

i just replayed thief 1 and 2 and was shocked to see 2 small robots talking to each other,on bank mission thief 2,ground floor
the conversation is one robot warning the other about dangerous conditions and other stuff,it kinda scared me,but it was not in alert mode,might be the only robot to robot conversation in thief games

I've mentioned that I like the Mages' and Bugbeasts' death cries. Also nailing an unaware spider with a broadhead can be quite satisfying. The thump a moment before the cry.

Never tire of listening to the guards muttering to themselves on patrol. My favourite:
"Notice there's never any birds around, anymore. Used to be birds.... Singin' in the mornin' an' wake you up. Singin' at night lookin' for girl birds to meet up with. Just don't hear them no more. Kinda sad."
The "Ooooo" sound that the lameass man-servant makes when boshed on the head always makes me laugh.
