I was just curious what other people's thoughts on this were. I'm only up to the very beginning of Level 7, but so far, I would have to say Level 4 is my favorite. The Knights of the Crux Ansata, the variety of quests and the Chaos Knight all added up to just a great level. Second place would probably go to Level 6, which is another fantastic level with just a lot of "stuff" in it... fighting the Golem on the island in the middle of the Lava ranking right up there in great show-downs.
Least favorite level so far would have to be level 5. It just seems really sloppy to me, with its labyrinthine passages. The ghouls aren't particularly interesting or well written... it seems odd to me that none of them were trying to eat me, and the "punny" names seemed pretty sloppy as well.

Can't really remeber them all but: Mages area (was it level 8? or level 7?)
But in UW2 Ethereal Void! Bizarre and magical :cheeky:

Nah, the Pits of Carnage easily. Although I loved the purple section of the Ethereal Void with the more vocabularious Blog and the weird stick-maze.
Is it me, or do Garg and Blog bear more than a passing resemblance to Labyrinth's Ludo? Their largeness, orange/yellowness, limited vocabulary and Blog's fixation with rocks? In fact, if you take the first world of UW2's subtitle.....

Both the Scintillus Academy and the Pits in UW2 were great, but I'll go for the old favourite: UW1 - level 7. :sly:

Yes, the Academy was very well done. :thumb: So many levels (worlds) of each game were great. God, I don't know which is my favorite, though. Um, in UW1, the level with the mages is my choice. In UW2, the Void.

Probably either level 7 or level 4.

The Mages area was level 6, actually. Here's a list for those who have forgotten:
Level 1 : Goblins and Outcasts
Level 2 : Mountain Men
Level 3 : Lizardmen
Level 4 : Knights of the Crux
Level 5 : Ghouls and Catacombs
Level 6 : Seers of the Moonstone
Level 7 : Tyball's Domain
Level 8 : The Core of the Abyss
I'd have to go with level 6, myself. That place was great. And for Underworld 2... I like Talorus :) Just plain fun place. Loved the Vorz

I think that in both UUW games, I preferred the first levels.
Not particularly because they were better designed but rather because they were the first ones in the adventure. And beginning an adventure is VERY exciting !
This is especially true in UUW1. In UUW2, the fact that you come back to the first levels so often makes them a little less exciting so I could also mention the ice cave as one of my favorite levels (I've always liked icy/snowy levels in games).

The trolls on level 4! Not to be forgetting the trolls! Rawstag! Sethar Strongarm! :)
My favorite level is... hmm... 7. No, wait, 6. Erm, no, 3. Wait, no, eh... 8? Hell...
From UW 2 I have two lists ... good-uns and okay-uns.
Good-uns:
Goblin Tower
Ice Caves
Alien place I forget the name.
Pits of Carnage
Tomb of Mister Loth
Okay-us:
Castle Brit et al
Killorn Keep
Mages Academy
Void

xman> j'étais sûr que tu répondrais çà ! :cheeky: (c'est exactement ce que je m'attendais à lire si je tombais sur un de tes post ! :D à croire que je commence à te connaître un peu :p par post interposé )
I'm wondering...
the first level of UW1 was the one of the discovery : alone in this dark place you have to go, with a flickering torch as only light source
beyond every doors danger could stand, in this unknown universe
once you've became a mighty warior, in full plate armor, understanding more deeply the rules of the abyss, well... things sounds differently...
anyway so many place were great ! what about learning Lizardmen's language, Troll vs Knight, walking through lava field or just discovering new 'social organization'...
favorite level ? maybe 6 or 7 or...
don't enjoy UW2 anyway : linearity and story... not that immersive...
