What is your favorite part of Deus Ex?
My personal favorite is Hong Kong. It reveals the whole conspiracy, and it's the level that has the most freedom to look around and check out the city. A lot of mystery and plot twists happen in Hong Kong. Thanks for gettin' me in. :erg:

It's a tough call, but I'd have to say Hong Kong by a small margin. The thing that I didn't like about Paris... well, not just Paris I suppose, but it feels very lonely and quiet. I like to see regular, ordinary people just living their lives, walking on the street. But I think Paris was under martial law, so that would explain it... but yeah. I'm rambling now. Gonna stop. Riiiiight... NOW.

I like em all, except for the
escape from MJ12's lab
level, which was still good. My fav was Hong Kong, because it was so big without loosing any detail all throughout. I remember when I found the Old China Hand (the bar), and went into the downstais area and (I believe) there was a freezer and a way to the canal. Wow, and jumping from Maggie C's penthouse into Jocks place. Soooo cool!
It's games like Deus Ex I will never forget.

Paris. The music is excellent.

I love all the Deus Ex music - Paris Chateau, Hong Kong, UNATCO etc... :thumb: I have 2 cd's filled with the goodness.
Hong Kong is a great colourful area and the market just feels so atmospheric - I love it, there is so much life in it.
Also another great level is the intro level - Liberty Island. It's really quite huge. I remember the first time I saw the statue - WOW the sheer scale of it was amazing, and the backdrop of NY cityscape with all the lights... ahh great days they were :D

Hong Kong and Paris both stand out as my favorites. Hong Kong was just so massive and alive. Plus I loved the music to boot. I don't remember the Paris music well, but I loved sneaking around the city in the shadows trying to avoid the guards.
I just started playing through this game for my 3rd run the other day. I had forgotten how immersive this game is. Even with it's now-dated graphics, I can't think of any other game that makes me feel so 'in' the world. At times, my monitor just seems to disappear and all that is there is myself in this massive living world. It's awesome.
