Yeah, that's a great track! I need to get that Turtles game at some point.
2 Mello released a banging Jet Set Radio-inspired album years after the first JSR one. It's good shit.

Found a couple more tracks from this year I like.
The Hardspace: Shipbreaker opening. Actually, this might be Intro Of The Year, and I know like 99% of you are never gonna play this game, so here, check this out:

Also, the Teardown end credits music is sure to warm the hearts of any Swede who hears it.

My son has been playing the most recent Xenoblade on the switch, and the soundtrack is very good, so much that I find myself humming some of the melodies.

This has oddly Christams-y vibe to it. I dig it.

Good grief, that song is every wedding reception I've been to.

Good to hear, because XC1 and 2 had excellent soundtracks as well. I can probably hum the Gaur Field and Gormott tracks from memory at this point (though at least part of that is because you keep hearing them on loop within the games.)

A few of my favourite tunes from recent years:
Children of the Omnissiah from Warhammer 40,000: Mechanicus.

Oh wow, I was thinking it's a distinctly Swedish dance-band sound (and the dev being Swedish, I'm sure that was the intent), I'm kinda surprised to hear it's a style that might be common in other countries, especially outside Europe!

Anyone who likes the style of that song that henke posted may want to check out Ulrich Seidl's film Rimini. And they need to be okay with fairly explicit geriatric sex.

I'm only reading the above post now, and I suppose that album's what puts the 'trick' in geriatric, hey hey?
Yeah okay anyway. Jesh and I were playing Darksiders Genesis a while ago and its net code or our connections (probably both) were terrible, with the game wigging out on me and getting stuck on loading screens mid-game, or even better, locking my character in the middle of a battle and then clipping him through a wall or the floor and then continuing to push him through until he sailed through all the level geometry available and was flying through the infinite void. Very fun, we totally are going to get back to it, etc.
One thing I did notice through our sessions though was that the soundtrack went hard, and the game is nowhere near that epic to deserve it. I appreciated the compositional deftness to it though, and here's the first two tracks on the soundtrack, which do a great job of setting the tone and establishing drama.

Didn't surprise me to learn that the dude behind this was Gareth Coker, who of course did the Ori games' soundtracks.

Far Cry 6 introduced me to this absolute banger.

Apparently it was somewhat of a hit in the Americas ~2009, but I dunno if it ever made its way over here. I hadn't heard it. I'd be curious to know if anyone here from that side of the world has heard it?
