(Minor ingredient spoilers to follow)
Hi all. I seem to remember a thread around here somewhere about favorite potion recipes, but damned if I can find it!
Here are a few of my favorites. Most of these ingredients are cheap to purchase and easy to find. A couple of them have multiple effects with a minimal number of ingredients.
If anyone has any multi-effect recipes they find particularly useful, please post them here! :D
Double Effect Potions:
"Renew Mind and Body"
Wickwheat, saltrice, frost salts, comberry
Restore Health + Restore Magicka
"Double Espresso"
Saltrice, crab meat, comberry, frost salts.
Restore Fatigue + Restore Magicka
"Cherry Slurpee"
Black anther, willow anther, frost salts.
Resist fire + Frost Shield
"Smurf Juice"
Frost salts, comberry, stoneflower, saltrice
Fortify Magicka + Restore Magicka
Triple Effect Potions
"Red Bull"
Crab meat, wickwheat, saltrice, stoneflower
Restore Fatigue + Restore Health + Fortify Magicka
"Icebreaker"
Comberry, frost salts, willow anther, corkbulb root
Cure Paralysis + Restore Magicka + Frost Shield
"Ice Mirror"
Comberry, hound meat, frost salts, willow anther
Reflect + Restore Magicka + Frost Shield
"Swimmer's Edge"
Hacklo, scales, scrib jerky, luminous russala
Water Breathing + Swift Swim + Restore Fatigue
Quintuple Effect!
Don't know what to call this one...
Scrap metal, crab meat, emerald, saltrice
Lightning Shield + Resist Shock + Restore Fatigue + Restore Health + Fortify Magicka
Ok I admit that not all of them are extrememly useful. :D But I don't like lugging around a cartload of potions. This way if I just need a particular effect, the other effects are simply bonuses.
Also, adding additional effects to a recipe does not diminish the initial effect. So a simple Restore Fatigue potion, for example, might give me the effect of Restore Fatigue 12 points/90 seconds. But the same effect mixed in with additional effects would still yield the same magnitude and duration, only with more effects.
I made these potions with an Alchemy skill of around 60, Grandmaster's mortar & pestle, and Master retort, alembic, and calcinator.
Much of the potions I've made at this skill level yield an impressive duration and magnitude, with the exception of a couple. Reflect, for example, I only get about 9% magnitude.
Sorry if this has been a repeat... I searched for a favorite recipe thread to continue but didn't find one.

Cool, I like that last one you got. Here'a a good defensive one I've been using lately:
Frost salts, fire salts, large kwana egg, sload soap
Effect: Frost shield + fire shield + fortify agility
Surprisingly (for me at least) I'm enjoying alchemy much more than I am enchanting.

Here's a real cheap and effective one.
Scuttle, Hound Meat
Effects: Restore and Fortify Fatigue
Best effect to ingredients ratio. And easily available even at low level.

Scrap-metal: It's pretty random; killing those centaurions should eventually get you some if searching in the Dwemer crates won't. If you're on a PC, try this via the console:
