Well my least favourite is quite easily Vivec, although I've never thought much of Gnisis either.
I tend to prefer the towns over towards the western side of the map. Balmora for a large town and Gnaar Mok for somewhere a bit smaller.
As for marmite, thats the Vivec of the sandwich spread world.

Ald Velothi is the nicest place on the map. I love the pretty beaches. I sometimes charm the people out of the outpost and set up home there. If you have the patience to "invite a guild guide round for tea" then that pays off when you have fast travel right in your own living room.
The Skaald Village is really nice too. Pretty coloured houses and pretty snow.

a question, on xbox when does the dark brotherhood attack u?? is it after the main storyline because that seems the most obvious thing to be attacked

I'm not entirely sure exactly when - on the unpatched PC version they attack you from the get-go, level 1.
I believe the attacks begin when you're somewhere around level 6? They only attack while you're sleeping, btw.

Isn't the DB attackage a Tribunal thing? Does the X-Box have expansion powah? And why are such deadly assassins so easily GANKABLE by a level 1 fresh off the boat for UBER armor?

The script is filtered by level making it less likely for a first level character to be ambushed but it is still possible. I suppose that the developers imagined that players with developed characters would install Tribunal, but with the GOTY edition that is certainly not the case. It is ridiculous that the player should be a match, and unbalancing that a low-level character should have such easy access to such valuable and comparatively powerful armor. PC players have the option to install a mod that addresses these problems, and there are as many such mods as there are modders (even I made one) since it is annoying to be testing your work while having to fend off the Dark Brotherhood. If you are genuinely troubled by this do a search for such mods. I certain that there is one over at (
