Did North Korea finally get their copies of the documentary 'Red Dawn'?
Quote:
North Korea responded to new UN sanctions on Friday with fresh threats of nuclear war, the scrapping of peace pacts with South Korea and the severing of a hotline with Seoul. ... Prior to the Security Council meeting, the North Korean foreign ministry had threatened a “pre-emptive nuclear attack” against the United States and all other “aggressors”.
So if the recent discovery of yet another previously unknown (until...what...about 5 days ago) giant asteroid set to have a semi-close encounter with 'ol Terra Firma didn't put a little bit of panic in your undies over thoughts of what may still be out there and coming this way, then how about a bunch of lunatic North Koreans hurtling rocks and sticks with atomic warheads attached to them?
I'm not one for "war mongering", but isn't it time we start thinking about BOMBING THE LIVING SHIT OUT OF THEM? Unlike the Iraq invasion/debacle, North Korea actually has Weapons of Mass Destruction (hell, they're damn near flaunting the fact), which they certainly have not been developing for any sort of "defensive purpose", and have clearly stated they'd be more than happy to use nuclear weapons preemptively against...well...anyone who says boo about them having nuclear weapons.
The madness and rhetoric of these lunatics has gone on long enough--to the point it's no longer just rhetoric. If North Korea doesn't want to play nice with the rest of the world, then the world would be better off without a North Korea. So fuck 'em and prep the silos. Unlike the good people of Iran who are mostly hostages under a lunatic government driven by religious zealotry, as far as I'm concerned about any sort of humanity toward the citizens of North Korean, their irradiated bodies can't glow bright enough at this point.
So who's with me, huh? WOLVERINES!!!

Whenever I hear about North Korea pulling yet another crazy antic, I always assume it's because they need something, and are bargaining for it in that subtle, nonchalant way they're so well known for.

I don't see why they keep blustering about stuff they clearly don't have and won't have for decades at best, especially considering the closer they come to being a threat, the closer they come to a UN intervention.

In 2000 I lived in Seoul, and I remember one dominating fact. The northern suburbs of Seoul are only a few miles from the border. If something goes down, they get the brunt of it first.
But also, of course, their strategy works. When they fly off the handle, they get things they want, like oil concessions. They hardly have much incentive to change the gameplan now. That's on top of the purely domestic reasons, playing to the home audience.

No, it's still just rhetoric. There's no point in responding. Just ignore the spoiled little child in the corner and let him carry on his tantrum until he's tired of screaming.
Meanwhile, South Korea should be quietly talking to the Israelis about a new version of Iron Dome.

On the bright side, it might be nuclear war but it brought back Queue.

No need for nukes, this year they will mostly be starving...

Other news sources describe American and allied forces moving all over the area in "specialized training maneuvers" and the like.
So don't worry, we've got like half the military over there already. The moment NK starts something, the sky falls down on them. Also, China is getting in on the sanctions game, and they've traditionally been NK's biggest supporter, keeping them alive on a diet of grass and propaganda.
It's bluster. Big, scary bluster, but they'd have to be seven different kinds of retarded to actually try anything.

The problem N.Korea has nowadays is that no`one believes them anymore. The little kid who cried wolf syndrome, since N.Korea has said they would attack so many times and then didn't that no`one believes them.
Even if they did the war would be so quick.
North Korea shoots 1 nuke which the US intercepts.
US shoots back 20 nukes.
N.Korea no longer on the map.
The end.
