I can't argue with that, at least in regard to talk radio.

I don't care about credibility, they're all equally deplorable by dint of their mere existence.
That's just it, they're NOT equally deplorable, precisely because certain hosts actually have a monogamous relationship with the truth that gives them credibility, and others are a bit more slutty and fool around with bullshit.
Franken found the nature of most talk radio to be so horrendous that he actually got up off of his ass to do something about it and
did raise the level of discourse. If you really do deplore the state of talk radio, you should commend him for doing that, instead of burrowing your head in the sand and saying "They're all the same."

In my defense I hate Al Franken for other reasons too.

Why?
He's good enough, he's smart enough and dog-gone it, people like him.

That last picture is like what the Fallout world might have become if it hadn't blown itself up.

Looks to me like a mix of Fifth Element and Attack of the Clones cityscapes.

It's a scene rendered with a freeware raytracer called PovRay that Gilles Tran's been carrying the torch around for (
http://www.oyonale.com/3D.php?section=1993&lang=en) yonks. I remember tooling around with it waaaay back in, oh, '96 or so on a 486 DX2. It was a revelation, watching near-photographic images trace out line by line by line.
Most of the models were created using third-party software, but the beauty of PovRay is that you can make an entire scene by describing it out in its script language. Not that you'd necessarily
want to if you have access to a good 3D modeller, but cool nonetheless.
