If you dont have the knowledge to realise the latest state-of-the-art weapon technology in that pic go back and watch lolcat pics on 4chan.
With your statement ''some kind of a gun'' it is evident that you have too little / no knowledge to appreciate it.
heh

Looks machine tooled and boring as hell to me. Heck it looks shit even. You can see the nuts and bolts ffs. Its not even a good photo and is the worst pic itt.

What the shit? Time for a rain check.
To 95% of people, it's just another stupid gun.
Well the pic is all about technical craftsmanship, if you cant even recognize craftsmanship if you see it, thats pretty poor and further discussion is pointless. Compare it to similar design 100 years ago, the difference in tooling and tolerances is fascinating. And this thread is about fascinating pics, no?
But that brings up another question, do you always whine around when you dont understand something like in this case? I hope not.
Whatever floats your boat, but dont whine about stuff which does not float YOUR boat.

No, its carved out of a block of pure steel by hand with a butter knife.

We can't because you didn't post a suitable one for comparison. There is no frame of reference. By itself, it's just an uninteresting picture of a gun.

"Don't comment about my post if you don't agree with me!"
Oh, come on. You know better than that.

I thought the difference is evident, but maybe thats my fault thinking so.
But even without a comparison, with a tad of knowledge about tooling and engineering its a pretty fascinating piece of machinery.

Oh, come on. You know better than that.
How can you judge about something you do not understand at all as you said, how can you be so blatantly ignorant? Let the people enjoy this pic who can understand its meaning, I dont post rants about every single thing I dont understand or like in this thread because I know other people understand and like it.
If you dont like something in this thread, get over it, you aint gonna change it with rants anyway so why wasting energy?

Again with, "Don't post if you don't agree". Great.
Your picture, "finely machined gun on gravel" was singled out as a particularly shining example of something I don't find fascinating at all. I don't have to understand guns. So drab did I find it, I wanted to convey that thought to you.
I shouldn't have to point this out, but expressing opinions is the point of a forum on the Internet. I'm fine with the waste of net energy, thanks.

Sure, but re-think your statement, now imagine if every community member here would write a post like '' I dont like this boring shit'' to every other opinion they dislike/disagree. It just does not work and this is REALLY boring reading ten comments in a row like ''this is boring'', ''this looks like shit'', '' I dont like this'' - wouldnt it? :erg:
And after those comments there would also appear ten comments like ''wow, awesome'' etc.
If I read something I dislike I ignore it if I dont have anything constructive to say and move on to something I like, you aint gonna change it anyway if you post your dislike this way. I am not arguing about ''freedom of speech'', but is a one-liner comment on EVERYTHING necessary? A community is made of MANY members, maybe most people dont care about your opinion of your likes/dislikes something and they find it really boring to read your comments on everything?
Something completely different is ''feedback'', a ''why'', suggestions etc. constructive opinions, stuff which does not insults you but gives you an Idea why things dont work out they you want it.
