My father was in the (

I thought people stopped being embarrassed by their parents after graduation. On the other hand, he is very happy with his three-wheel pickup, and I'm more or less happy that he's so happy. It's just a little funny that the local news would be so interested in his weirdmobile. :D
I have to admit it is sort of fun to ride around in...

He comes off as a pretty cool old guy.
I must say, I don't think that triuck is going to be particularly safe in an accident. Or when turning quickly. Or stopping quickly.

Grats.
You used to see similar 3-wheel cars in Europe in the past. When I was a kid (in the seventies and eighties) people like milkmen and the baker that delivered to homes used to drives those. The streetsweepers used to have them. People like that, but not individuals. Later they kinda disappeared. I think the consensus was that their "behaviour-on-the-road" was not good enough. (Sorry, I don't know the english word for that). When traffic went faster, especially inside towns and villages, they couldn't keep up I guess. Not without more accidents at sharp turns, etc. They were build for slow travel, transporting stuff, etc. Not for fast or long-distance travel.

We've had 3 wheelers for years on the roads in the UK. Don't see them much now though. Don't know if they are considered safe anymore.
Your dad is pretty cool dema.
