Which totally ignores the historical context: male on male rape has (http://www.psychohistory.com/originsofwar/08_infanticide.html) deep roots in the Caucasian heritage, and usually it's less about homosexuality than it is about power dynamics.

Which was the point of the rape in Far Cry 3.

Rape is always about power, regardless of whether it's male on female, male on male, female on male, or female on female.

Nothing in the E3 material makes this game look much different from FC3. Different location, ok. But still looks very much the same, especially with the enemy hideouts. This time instead of tigers, there are elephants. Gee, wow. This is Ubisoft, so I am not counting much on more than just more of their customary wash, rinse, repeat game design style.

Nice to see Mr. Barrel (first name Explosive) making an appearance at 3:21. That dude has had an impressive career, and he was an absolute kaboom in Half-Life 2. His old age is starting to show a bit, but I'm glad to see him making such an incendiary display in this video!

As much as I hate to do it I've got to give Ubi credit for this.

They at least realize how their previous games could be interepreted as having a white supremacist message.

So I haven't play a FC game since the first one (wasn't a huge fan and 2 & 3 look rather awful), but Blood Dragon looks awesome. Is it worth playing? Will I dig it if I'm not normally into the series?

Far Cry 2 is really good and atmospheric. Many people like FC3, but I found that once I'd completed the crafting and the 1st island, it got a bit boring. Also, it's very gamey and for the completionist, features just a little too much in the way of repetitive map marker quests.

That was pretty much my experience faetal. Too similar to Any Other Generic Ubisoft Game© for my liking. Two, while flawed, had an incredible atmosphere and sense of despair to it. And IEDs.

Yep. In a technical, on-paper sense, Far Cry 3 is the better game. But Far Cry 2 will stick with you for much longer after playing it.
