Here's hoping for an all England final! Good match, and Liverpool deserved to win. Sweet that Toight scored the winner after that offside.

I actually hope that Milan can go through. Mainly because I don't like either Man Utd or Ronaldo. And so far Milan is cruising.

I hope Milan go through too, for pretty much the same reasons :D
A team like Milan surely wouldn't throw away a half-time lead :thumb:

Milan surely were cruising in the first half though it's a bit less so in the 2nd. Man Utd look unlikely to score but we shall see!

I bet they'll be terrified if in the final they're leading confortably at half-time ;)

Hooray, Chelsea haven't won the league!
Fuck, Man Utd have.
In light of this, I went back and looked at Page 1 of this thread - which, with hindsight, is rather hilarious.
I only had a quick-ish scan, but Man Utd barely get a mention (except for when I take the piss out of them signing Carrick for £500,000,000 billion, WHICH I STAND BY 100%).

Well, long term injuries to Cech and, especially, Terry weren't very predictable. Furthermore, I never expected that Abramovich wouldn't splash out the money to buy a new, decent center back (Boulharouz is simply pathetic) and instead Chelsea would play all season with only two real central defenders in the squad, therefore having to play Essien in defence for almost half of the games :p
(also, I thought that english referees already knew Ronaldo well enough and wouldn't award him 152 penalties during the season).

"Rage, rage against the dying of the light": The Tony Blair Memorial Week Thirty Seven.Just one more to go! Then my shameless spam will be at an end, and no longer will people look angrily at CommChat and growl "for fucks sake, will that Fantasy Football thread ever die?"
Man Utd won the league a bit early, hilariously transforming Wednesday night's BIG CLASH into a complete waste of time. But with both sides resting players, it may have had unseen consequences for scores of fantasy managers. Let's have a look, shall we children?

http://img521.imageshack.us/img521/2066/ttlgleaguemay11wf3.pngOf course, I actually have no idea how it affected anyone, so that was a purely specious conceit. Sorry. I can only deal with HARD NUMERICAL FACTS, such as
Strontium Dogma's week-topping,
1984-inspired
101 points. I went for the icecream homage myself, damned fool that I am.
Next week ... is the final one *sob*
Finding a full squad who are actually likely to play (let alone give a crap about the score) could be tricky, as there are basically about four games which really matter to anyone. Sheffield United vs Wigan is the biggie, and there's some UEFA Cup tussling going on, but that's pretty much it. Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool will be playing squad rotation bingo in preparation for cup action, and other teams with nothing to play for could well be dicking around too. Choose wisely!
Or just guess, that's often as successful.

BigFinal
Week 38
That's it, it's all over! Bit gutted for Sheffield United; but you can never trust Man Utd to get anything right, can you?

http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/8636/ttlgleaguemay13ae6.pngMany congratulations to our champions,
Razzalls Rovers. They've been far, far ahead for quite some time now, but managed to maintain the pace and secure the title.
Commiserations to
Offworld Vole who end the season in last place. BUT PERHAPS THIS WAS THEIR AIM ALL ALONG?
As a bit of a final STATFEST, I thought I'd list our various managers of the month too:
August: Razzalls Rovers (149pts) - with a nod, also to
Awesome Express (148pts), as Razzalls were an unknown entity to us at this early stage.
September: Citadel Benfica (212pts)
October: TCB FC (201pts)
November: Razzalls Rovers (242pts) - we were joined by Razzalls at the very end of November, so I'll also mention
Useless United (224pts) here.
December: The Materazzi Boogie (343pts)
January: Strontium Dogma (223pts)
February: TCB FC (163pts)
March: Ards FC Memorial XI (193pts)
April: The Suicides (260pts)
May: Strontium Dogma (171pts)
And that, ladies and gents, is that.
Thanks to all who took part, I hope you had fun. Or, if not fun, some sort of meaningless bursts of pride in relation to statistics, or something. Cheers!

Thanks to Paz for the regular and entertaining updates to keep us interested :)
Edit: 11th? That's like coming first TWICE! I win, nubs
