I read that Cech's been wearing some kind of head protection in training, and that if he does play he will also wear it. Might start a new trend in goalkeeping gear ;)
Man Utd are strangely strong this year, which is even more surprising to me when I notice that they have practically the same squad as last year. On the other hand, Chelsea seems to be really missing the Cech & Terry duo. Chelsea should have held on to Gallas; now they don't have a decent replacement for Terry (Boulharouz is so bad that Mourinho prefers having Paulo Ferreira or Essien playing as center-backs).

Sorry, I don't believe you. In August you also said that Liverpool would win the league ;)
I haven't given up on that yet
it's so annoying because I know our squad is every bit as good as the squads of the others, and Benitez is every bit as capable a manager, but a very difficult start to the season and incredible bad luck in losing games that we have dominated for 90 minutes has likely done for us this time round

You'd better wish that I stop watching Liverpool matches then. Everytime I watch you play, you seem to end up on the losing side (the last two matches I watched were the two cup ones against Arsenal).

Is this a bit like the God Delusion?

Tip: That Montella bloke is really rather good. And I was so excited at halftime, too :(

I'm sorry for your loss :(
Montella is the absolute business though, isn't he? Impeccable goalscoring record in Italy too - and would probably made a bigger splash with the national team if he hadn't been unlucky enough to coincide with Trapattoni's reign of awfulness.
However, he is a bit injury-prone these days and I expect Fulham will mostly use him from the bench (like tonight) - so whether he'll be swimming in Fantasy Footy points, I don't know. Still, great to have him in the Premiership!

OK Paz, where's the update? You're failing us.

Sorry, I had to wait for the game to dish out bonus points for Watford vs Blackburn - which it now has!

And in our league ...

This weekend it's the FA Cup again - and the week after it's a slightly reduced fixture list (due to a squeezed in Arsenal-Tottenham League Cup semi, I assume). Choose your squad wisely!
Or, like me, try to fit 9 players into 11 spaces. Grr.

Buying Morten Gamst Pedersen and installing him as captain this week certainly paid off \:D/
But in an eerie echo of Liverpool's fortunes this season, I fear my recent burst of championship form has sadly come a little too late to catch the top two /:(\
D'Arcy, I take it you didn't watch the Chelsea game then ;)
