I love Ronaldo almost as much as I hate him, since he's now bagged me 92 points in 3 weeks as captain!

"Resistance is feasible even for those who are not heroes by nature": The Phil "Safe Hands" Jagielka Week Twenty One.Yes, more football was played! And there'll be more this Monday/Tuesday too.

The Suicides have got a big fat <strike>
88 points</strike>
91 points which may be our largest single points total thus far - edging ahead of Iggles' 87 points a few weeks back. If I was keeping any sort of stats, I would probably know for sure. But I'm not. So I don't. Sorry :(
Jakeyboy on 31/12/2006 at 18:24
and for some reason my haul has increased to 91!

How strange, so it has. I'll update the league picture just for you!
No-one else has changed score - you must have a player who's just been given an extra assist, or something.

"Last year's words belong to last year's language and next year's words await another voice": The I'm Quite Glad There's A Break For The FA Cup Now Really Week Twenty Two.A smorgasbord of Christmas/New Year football finally draws to a close. Let's have a look at the league, shall we children?
Yes, let's!

http://img405.imageshack.us/img405/5846/ttlgleaguejan2bq2.pngStriding purposefully into the higher reaches are the
Portreath Wreckers, who by useful coincidence also scored the highest total this week -
67 points. Much like THE EVIL RED ONES in real life (but I'm sure far less evil),
Razzall's Rovers appear to be breaking away at the top. In reverse breakaway fashion our bottom three are starting to look a little isolated.
It's the continuing magic of the FA Cup next weekend, so this nonsense all returns on Jan 13th.

We're back, back, back! And I'm talking to myself.
"All things will be produced in superior quantity and quality, and with greater ease": The GOALFEST Week Twenty Three.Yes, an average of more than three goals per Premiership game this week - which means everyone's strikers should have probably managed at least ONE effort between them. Although not necessarily.
I see a little silhouetto of a league (scaramouch, scaramouch):

Strontium Dogma who, indeed, have the most points this week:
61 points, counting fans.
The championship race has tightened up a little, with just 17 teeny tiny points now dividing our top two. That's a margin even smaller than Aaron Lennon.
Next week, it's Liverpool vs Chelsea and Arsenal vs Manchester United - excitement!
D'Arcy on 15/1/2007 at 15:11
My current doubt is who should I give the captaincy of my team to this week. Will Henry demolish Man Utd, or Lampard get some goal/assist at Anfield? Or maybe Terry will finally return and Chelsea will stop conceding goals every week?
SD on 15/1/2007 at 15:56
Liverpool will beat Chelsea this weekend, you can put your mortgage on it.
D'Arcy on 15/1/2007 at 16:34
Sorry, I don't believe you. In August you also said that Liverpool would win the league ;)
Furthermore, I don't care whether Chelsea wins or loses. I just want Lampard to score goals or make assists (actually, I hate Man Utd and Ronaldo, so it's probably better if Chelsea wins).
Paz on 15/1/2007 at 16:44
Yes, the red resurgence is most galling.
Hopefully the Arse will triumph, but going "missing" in big games is pretty much Thierry Henry's raison d'etre so I can't see him scoring*
I don't think Terry will be returning yet, I've read February as most likely (he did have fairly major back surgery, after all). Bizarrely, the papers do think Petr Cech will play, which seems .. er .. risky.
