Nor do I really, if Martlet actually has 733 points he's obviously been playing since the beginning.
Would anyone have a serious objection to this (I can't really imagine what that would be, but you never know)? If not, I'll send him the league code.
If no-one complains here within the next 24 hours or so, I'll assume we're all fine.

I don't have any objections, but I'm not sure points are carried over into the new league when you join halfway through with a team you've been playing since the beginning.
I'll confirm this with my Uncle Janet shortly, but I think that's right.

If the points aren't carried over then this would, indeed, be rather (oh ho) pointless.
The rules were kind of vague, saying you can "join a private league at any time" - but no mention of points totals. So I dunno.
Feel free to post a screenshot at the end of the season if you're still winning, you could have an unofficial victory or something.
