^^^^^ I currently have four of those players, THEY ARE DOOMED MEN
Placeholder team entered! I'm counting down the hours until I can sign the mighty Nicholas Anelka though.
I think I'll adopt the Internazionale strip this year, in honour of the fact that my last title was a long, long time ago - and I can't choose a consistent striker to save my life.
You can also pm me for the league code, but I'll only give it out to people who promise to be utterly hopeless.

Sly United signing up as we speak. Hold your awe at my superior team-selection skills, because I haven't been paying as much attention to the premiership as usual. Still, we shall see. My team:
GK: Freidel (Blackburn)
DE: Thatcher (Man City)
DE: Terry (Chelski)
DE: Weir (Everton)
DE: King (Tottenham)
MF: Benayoun (West Ham)
MF: Hleb (Arsenal) (Captain)
MF: Parker (Newcastle)
MF: Robben (Chelski)
FW: Bellamy (Liverpool)
FW: Shevers (Chelski)
Subs
GK: Ashdown (Portsmouth)
DE: De Zeeuw (Wigan)
MF: Li Tie (Sheffield)
FW: M Bent (Charlton)
So, I'd love to stay and chat, but I need to wash myself all over for having a Blackburn player in my team.

Maybe I'll wait a bit more before picking my team. I've entered every single TTLG Fantasy league, and this year won't be an exception.
I think Chelsea will make it three in a row this season. Most likely the title will be already decided by Christmas time. Now they have Ballack, Shevchenko and, more important, they still have Mourinho ;)

Great players yeah but that don't necessarily make a great team. Benitez overhauled Real and Barca in Spain - twice. He's more than capable of vanquishing a soulless Chelsea side. The
Galacticos policy failed in Spain, and I don't see it being any more of a success in England.
Of course, this predicted chain of events assumes that all those egos in the Chelsea dressing room don't agglomerate into one gigantic black hole that destroys the entire known universe.

Yup, Rafa's masterplan is really unfolding now that he's thought to bring in someone to actually score the goals.
My money's on Chelsea for at least one more league win anyway.

If anyone can keep those guys under control, then it's Mourinho. And if there's one thing I'm yet to see, is a soulless Mourinho team. The galacticos policy failed in Real because it was a stupid policy, where players were bought and sold by Perez without caring for the manager's oppinion. This isn't the case with Chelsea. They haven't exactly bought four world class strikers and left the defence for a couple of virtually unknown players that came through the youth system.
Besides, Benitez's Valencia was hardly a team made up of unknown players. Cañizares, Aimar, Marchena, Baraja, Rufete, Angulo, Vicente and others are all well known players. They had already come very close of winning the league under Ranieri, and the Champions League under Cuper.
Liverpool is capable of beating Chelsea on a head to head match. But in the long run, Chelsea seems to be by far a lot more consistent than any other Premiership team. They don't throw away as many points against smaller teams as the other ones do.

You're all nuts - this is Watford's year.
I'm convinced Mourinho will simply walk out of Chelsea before too long. He's clearly a proud guy who won't enjoy the continuous "lol you just buy the league" jibes which he currently attracts - slightly dubious jibes, as having bottomless funding, though obviously guaranteeing a certain level of stability, does not guarantee success. The lure of doing something like winning the TV Broadcast Moneypit Cup with Porto again (not necessarily with that team) will surely become too strong.
I also get the impression that Abramovich is slowly beginning to fashion an Italian-style model at Chelsea, whereby he has greater control over transfers than the manager/coach. Jose probably won't like that.
Whether that'll all come to a head THIS season, I don't know. I guess there's also a chance Mourinho will just be sacked if he fails to deliver in Europe again.

Nuts to Watford and Mourinho, this is Reading's first season in the top flight and we're going to make the most of it - 1st or nothing.
