The other complaints are BS imo, like copy/paste. It doesn't contain more copy/paste work than any other 3D game or more copy/paste than the original games.
fallout 2 editor: wall sections, fence sections, floor tiles, roof tiles
fallout 3 editor: whole buildings

I presume that's something to do with the tile based nature of Fallout 2 versus the more freeform nature of 3?

you have whole buldings in FO2 too.. look at any town in FO1-2 and you'll have row after row with the exact same buildings, looks way more cloned than FO3.

The point is that one big city in F1-2 took about 4-5 maps, while here you have to explore the same looking interiors in first person for dozens of hours.

Cities were bigger yes but still wasnt much fun to explore since everything looked the same. I'm sure someone will make a mod for this for FO3 anyways, just like this was modded for Oblivion and Morrowind. And i don't know about exploring interiors of building for dozens of hours, it's not like most of the interiors are that big (except for subways which can be a bit of a bore), and to be fair it's much less copy/paste than in Oblivion and Morrowind (or most other games for that matter) so i didn't find it that bad. And the cities themselves are more diverse than e.g Oblivion which is nice, i really liked the different themes.
I've played it through once, now i'm gonna wait at least a 6 months and then a new more throughout run (i explored maybe 50% of the map in the first run) + use many of the nice mods that are out and will be out.

90% of the time F1 & 2s interiors, exteriors and posteriors weren't interesting enough to look at for copy paste to hurt them in the first place.

I thought on the inside you could string together prefab objects and sections more or less however you wanted, much like how many other game engines do it these days.
A lot of the repetition (houses, train stations) is fairly logical, but I'd still have preferred it if they culled quite a few areas. Especially the bloody storm drains and utility tunnels.

You can, the editor is extremely easy to work with so it wouldn't be hard to mod it if someone cared enough about it..

There was an apocalypse!
Can you imagine the fallout (olololo) if it featured nalifruits and discolights?
Color does not necessarily mean teletubbies you silly boy. :p

Just use the 'Wait' option, you don't have to rest.
Oh ... there is a 'Wait' option? Ok, that invalidates that complaint (odd i missed it).

+1.
The original games were very gray too, it's _supposed_ to be a dystopic setting so it's supposed to look like this.
Gray to mean dystrophic setting == severe lack of imagination. (IMMHO)

There's no game ever created that you can't nitpick about. Imo this game has far less annoyances than 99% of the games i play _plus_ it's highly moddable.
True. Does not invalidate the "nitpick" ... are you not a bit too protective? I mean, this particular game is quite high in my list for 2008 - but if i look honestly at it - the noted problems emerge most strongly (you do not want to see me nitpicking this game [from pure graphics perspective - this is the absolute bottom crap i have played in 2008 ;) ]).

Waiting doesn't heal you like it does in TES.
No, but it does help if you're wanting to shop and it's 3am, which I believe was the cause of the complaint.
