never played KOTOR 2, but F3 is remarkably similar in feel to KOTOR, except when you're wandering the wastelands... Hell, F3 probably could have been called KOTOR 3.
I had the opportunity to try out KOTOR for the first time right before F3 and I'm not sure what you mean by the latter being remarkably similar to the earlier. These two games represent almost radically different approaches to the RPG genre. I was about to sink into KOTOR2 when F3 came out, so I gave F3 priority...

Gotta echo BR on this one, I also don't see the similarity.

Now thats a game I`d make a level / quest for. Be interesting to see how hard it is to make levels for Fallout 3 incomparison to how it was for System Shock 2.
Don't know about SS2, but if Oblivion's hearty (
http://tesnexus.com/index.php) collection of community-made levels is any indication, it should be a reasonably acquirable skill.

Anyone know if the Unofficial TES Patch guys are planning anything for FO3? The only unofficial addons I really look forward to for any Beth game are the ones they do, since they're all bugfixes. I've been half tempted to try to fix some of the more annoying graphical ones myself, like the transparent rocks and flickering textures.

There already is one (
http://www.gamershell.com/news_65974.html) high res Texture pack out there.
How about an extra thread dealing with must have mods/additions/community made bugfixes? Hard to click through 24 pages looking for that one link to a mod that I know must be in there somewhere. THIS IS MADNESS.

Or an FO3 forum. We probably should have had one back when we learned that Emil was in charge of it. :)

Interesting, but the author should put some comparison piccies somewhere online. They say it needs very fast machine? Cmon, the resolution of stock textures insults my 512MB GPU / 2GB RAM and now somebody made textures which make it cough and sweat?

By all means, please (

Given that 12 years have passed between Fallout 1 and Fallout 3 this shouldn't come as a suprise to anyone who isn't a gibbering NMA goon.
Heaven forbid that a followup should be expect to maintain the same feel/soul of its predecessors.

That's like saying that Amy Winehouse is very dedicated to cocaine.
