My conversation was "RAV_RavineObjectives" and the editor was having problems processing the conversation goals because of this. I have dropped the "_" and the conversation repairs with the schema names _001000, _002000, etc.
I've chalked another one up for experience.

Congratulations! And if you don't mind me saying so,

...should be "what is written", while
...should be "I won". Now you're officially English-pimped. :D And Judith cannot complain any further. :p

What? :wot:

Bullshit.
You didn't read the tutorials carefully enough, it's all there. You read, but you don't understand, as you already proved that with my simple sentence about spaces in game/ed path.
And, you
don't have to change anything in default.ini, as user.ini
overrides those settings.

Then explain me why changing the settings in the default.ini all works fine?!
TinkofSharn on 24/4/2008 at 14:42
I don't suppose it's something as simple as a typo in the USER.INI
Here's mine for comparison...
[BlockLoading]
;LoadFromResourceBlockFiles=True
[Source Control]
UseSourceSafe=0
[Engine.Engine]
UpdateGameSys=0
[Conversations]
SchemaChangesAllowed=true
[PCVertexPools]
DynamicVertexPool=6291456
StaticVertexPool=3145728
StaticShadowVertexPool=5242880

Because something's wrong with your system or T3/ed instalation! How many times should I repeat myself?
All the actions put down in the tutorials were repeated many times and tested on many computers, by many users, to find a logical and systemic approach to a certain problem. That's how it's done - to enable largest group of users possible to repeat the same course of actions successfully.
Your approach is a
per case one, works on
your computer, eliminating
your problems, but it's not the way devised by the creators of this game & toolset. It also doesn't apply to people, who have T3 & the Editor installed and configured properly, according to the rules set up in the tutorials (like yes, me, and many others).
Changing the default.ini It worked? Good for you, but this doesn't make the problem disappear, at least if you want your mission to be playable on other T3 installs, not only
yours.
The same goes for almost every problem you have - you're solving them with our own chaotic, ADHD-like "reasoning", instead of trying to understand what's in the tutorials. Fine with me, but trying to tell that this is
an effective solution for anyone else is an utter crap, spreading confusion and false information.
TinkofSharn - I just checked my User.ini file - it's almost identical, even the numbers in vertex pools match.
massimilianogoi on 24/4/2008 at 22:28
But you have to admite, Judith, that the problem were already presented before... Read that David's post I linked.
As I wrote before, if you read it carefully, changing the default.ini should be a solution for those who had my same problem.
More, if you read still before, you'll notice that I've tried, following your advices to eliminate any spaces (in fact I've already elminated it, but my editor were in F: ), I've tried to install a fresh copy of the editor, without any my settings, but the problem persisted. And that's not the matter of my computer that goes wrong, I've got a perfect Windows XP installation, and fully functional. I'm a graduate programmer, not a novice.
In fact, in this case, the reading of the Komag's tutorial,even it is wrote very well, SHOULD NOT HELP!
Saying this, I hope you don't mind me, I'm here to have friends, not brabbles.
And, above all, my methods is NOT chaotic!! This is a pure slander, for I'm always a systematic researcher.

But the way you speak English is, which actually boils down to the same thing. Writing and understanding the meaning behind the words is the only method of comunication here.
And the only method to understand the inricate principles of T3ed's operation :laff:
