Well I want to know all the factions that have been found so far, here's the list of the ones I've ran into in my 4 day game as a Tranvestite Imperial Serial Killer.

I'm grandmaster of the 4 guilds, archmonk (whatever) of the the Temple, moving up in the Imperial Cult and the Twin Lamps, and I'm about to start in on the Legion. And that's all the joinable groups I've found thus far.
Does someone feel like giving me some spoilers on joining the other playable factions listed? I tried to join the Sixth House during that mission from Cassius, but the witch just didn't care for me. I've never even HEARD of those Clans, or that Talos Cult (at least, they don't ring a bell). Census & Excise seems like those folks at Sedya Neen in the tax house... how can you "join" them? I'm more curious than anything - I've got enough faction meetings to attend and newsletters to write for my taste. Just wanted to know how to get hooked up with those other kids. [/spoiler]

Those factions listed there are all of the factions the game keeps track of (dispositions towards you and such). Many of them are not joinable. Like the Camonna Tong and the Census and Excise.
If it isn't listed there, the game doesn't recognize it as a faction, such as the Dark Brotherhood.

And the 3 clans are vampire clans. At least I assume so - I've ran into the Quarra already, so I KNOW they are, and I know there are 3 vampire clans. Must be them :)
You don't join, per se, you kinda uh...get bitten and you turn undead, LOL. Whoever you got bitten by, that's the Clan you automatically "join".[/SPOILER]

Ashlanders: You'll join them by doing the main quest(blades)
Blades: You should be part of them when you joined the game.
Camona Tong: You can't join them(from what I've found)... simply because your an outlander.
Census and Excise: NPC guild
Clan Aundae: Get infected with polymorphic djkldsklsk(sp?) by an Aundae Vampire
Clan Berne: Get infected with... , by a Berne Vampire
Clan Quarra: ... you get the point
Fighter's guild: Talk to the guild master in any fighter's guild
Mage's Guild: Talk to the guild master in any mage's guild
Theives Guild: Habasi Sugarlips in the Balmora Southwall corner club
Imperial Cult: Ebonheart, imperial chapel
Imperial Legion: Gnisis, talk to Darius in the Tradehouse
Imperial Knights: I don't know
Morag Tong: Vivec, Arena. Go into the canalworks, storage room. There should be a trap door leading to the morag tong hq there. Talk to Enu(sp?) Hlaalu
Twin Lamps: I'm not 100 percent sure about this... but after freeing various slaves, you will eventually get asked by one of them if you are in the twin lamps. In vivec, there is a slave trader there... I think one of those slaves knows some secret code that you can tell to Jobasha in the foreign quarter to join the twin lamps. I'm pretty sure there's more to it... I just haven't gotten there.
Temple: Talk to the head priests in any temple
Sixth House: I don't know
Great Houses
-Hlaalu: Hlaalu counsel in Balmora
-Redoran: Redoran Counsel enterance in Ald Ruhn Manor district
-Telvanni: Sadrith Mora, counsel tower
