Hey there guys. I'm an avid gamer, but more of a musician than a programmer. SS2 is pretty much the best game ever and I want to make some weird electronic soundscapey music featuring samples from the series. How do I go about extracting it from the game code? If this is not the done thing, I apologise and please feel free to delete this thread. But this ain't commercial, merely for my own pleasure and that of people who encounter the right pages on the net. Cheers.

When you install the game, the root directory has archives containing all the game data in .crf files, which are really just zip files. Open the sound.crf and song.crf (i'm at work so the file names might be plural or slightly different) files in winzip or winrar or something and all the sounds/music is in there.

Are there really 419 other "Jabbanobadda"s in the world?
I'm scared.

Jabbanobadda has a certain ring to it though doesn't it? Makes me want to dance around in a loin cloth and beat the drums.
(not really)
