I've noticed a problem with my computer recognising my phone (i.e opening Autoplay / the device appearing in Computer). At first I assumed it was an iPhone problem, since I had the 4S for a while, but I now use a second generation Moto X and the problem persists. The only way to open the phone in Explorer is to go into Device Manager* every time I plug it in, uninstall the driver, unplug the phone, and then plug it in again. This reinstalls the drivers and solves the problem, but every time I shut the computer down, the problem comes back. It's really starting to annoy me. What's going on and how can I fix it?

Windows 7 Professional SP1.
Apparently, I hadn't. Going to do that now.
Yes - doesn't help.
