I play Thief 2 fan missions regularly, but today I got the following message: "Your video card is not compatible with Thief 2." ( I didn't change nothing on my PC.) Then I reinstalled the game, and it went back to normal. No messages, I can play. Can anyone tell me WTF happened?

Your computer burped. It happens sometimes.
Seriously. if it works, it works. Thief 2 is an old game, and you're probably running it on an OS three generations removed from the one it was designed for. Occasional flake outs are par for the course.
