Hi,
I have worked my way up to Archmage and completed it by killing Trebonius a while ago. But I now have sold a soulgem back to the wrong person and have been expelled. How can I "Make Amends" since Trebonius is dead and I am supposed to be the ArchMage. Does any one know how to fix this without losing what I have done since the last save either using the console or otherwise?!?!?!?!

I'm not sure, but maybe you can talk to one of the other Mage guild quest-givers? Obviously you out-rank them but the "make amends" function might still work.

Here are some console commands related to guilds and joinable groups.
Open the console with the tilde key ~ and type the following:
player->PCraiserank "GuildID"
player->PClowerrank "GuildID"
player->PCJoinFaction "GuildID"
player->PCClearExpelled "GuildID" (This is probably the one you want - it seems, based on posts in the official forums, that PCClearExpelled will put you back in the guild, and take away any guild member's negative attitudes toward you.)
I made this mistake too, by trying to sell Gabababanicious (the Bosmer on the top floor of the Balmora Mages Guild) her own Winged Atronach Grand Soul Gem. Whoops! Here's a tip - ONLY sell things to Creeper. You'll get more gold, he's not hard to get to, and you never have to worry about keeping track of who you stole what from.

They almost expelled me from their guild, then they remembered what happened last time Igave them crap, I killed them all and pissed on their corpses. They know better than to give me any shit.
