So he coined a term for a genre that had existed nearly a decade before UO came out.
That isn't proof he invented it. He just came up with a catchy name.

Um, excuse me, when Ultima Online reached 100,000 subscribers, which FAR surpassed anything else to that point, yes, he gave it a name - Massive! The name stuck. Are you at least taking any sort of notes?!

I'm going to now crown goldmoon dawn a MMUD, a massively mundane uber-dork. therefore i invented all future MMUDs becuase I coined the term on an already existing jagoff.

I decided to go ahead and just throw that in there, knowing that you clowns would find it as a last resort, once you had brought yourself up to speed on some history of course. mmo... lol
Ah, it's all starting to make sense now. Is that why everything else that you say is exaggerated or fabricated too? :cheeky:

If people can make sloppy uneducated attacks at me, I can certainly have a little fun with that lack of education.

What you have done here with your post, sadly, is a far cry from what Garriott did when he was achieving the first real online role playing game. You would even jokingly compare yourself to a legend?

You're splitting hairs to desperately try and prove your point. Tell me this, when it was still new and only 500-1000 subscribers, was it somehow less of an MMO than it became later? Did it somehow change genres the more popular it became?
LaffyTaffy420 on 18/2/2014 at 03:38
by the way goldmung, in 1997 there was a game that had 115,000 users. Now, you may say well UO came out in 1997 but it did not reach that benchmark right away, so that crown belongs to Neverwinter Nights which was also the first MMO to have graphics.
Now I gotta find me a parking meter, all this schooling you is making me feel a bit...amorous

Right away, when it skyrocketed right past the *initial* crap available, he went to 100,000 right away, called it a massive achievement, and every *cough* mmo since has, by default, accepted Lord Britishes supreme reign of the entire universe, past, present, and future, which I can personally assure you, is a LOT.

Too bad the term "massively multiplayer" was already used at E3 two years before UO came out, and games like Confirmed Kill were being referred to as MMOGs. All Lord Tittish did was refer to his by a genre specific derivative of an already existing term.
OH GOD TIME EXPIRED HNNNGNGGG
