If you pinned every answer to every DromEd question, you'd have about a thousand pinned messages.
That's not what pinning is for.
I'm sure you already knew all this, but for some reason you're saying this stuff anyway.
Don't play the one who don't get it. :cheeky: You perfectly know what I mean : pinned messages for very frequently asked questions or generic stuff, not every cases.
The things very specific, no matter the media, will always get their answer lost in the archives either on a forum or a chat since people looking for it are rare.
If you checked the Discord server ; which I suppose is the case since I don't think you would be the type to talk about things you don't know ; you would have seen the read-only room to get links to important tutorials and the pinned messages we mention.

I don't think anything changes over time. For thousands of years, no one has been able to come up with a replacement for the wheel.
For this reason, we can still see the classic forum system in Steam.
I'm not sure if this is a convenient platform, but it's definitely a forum.
Discord has completely disappointed me. One day I was looking for technical answers in search, but found trolling and insults against me from several bastards who probably couldn't satisfy their ambitions on TTLG. Therefore, for myself, I concluded that Discord is a garbage dump for teenagers. In almost every post you can see dozens of smiles and memes. And I ask myself - why do I need that kindergarten?
But I don't think you need to change anything, now everyone got theirs.
I'm more upset about the rare release of fan missions, and the even rarer release of interesting fan missions. I really yearn for a great 2008.

I will say from personal experience - sometimes googling "*insert dromed problem here* ttlg.com" allows me to easily find a thread from years ago by johnnydromed2008 that has an eventual answer somewhere within it and it's great. Sometimes though, these answers end up being dead image embeds or links to blogs/websites that just don't exist anymore, and that sucks.
While discord tends to be an endless mass of posts and a good amount of what is shared can end up being lost in the crowd, I find the benefits of immediate feedback and answers to anything I need help with far too valuable to complain about. And really, God forbid we actually have a discussion with each other and talk instead of just pointing people right to a thread from years ago or complaining that they didn't use the search functions properly
Anyway this thread seems to be slowly degenerating into a weird mishmash of arguing, complaining, and odd borderline-schizophrenic conspiracy theories. Getting silly now.

I think both serve a purpose. May we all find solutions to our problems before giving up.

There's nothing stopping you from searching the history on a Discord server. It tends to work quite well on technical-oriented ones, at least if the channels are set up properly.
As for trolling and insults, that would be a moderation issue, same as on a forum.
