Everyone attack me. What to do?

Great game.
But I'm stuck now. Banker noticed me when I went to a room behind curtain in his house and attacked, and now if I go out to streets all guards and citizens attack me as well even though they couldn't see the event. Is it possible to ease them somehow? I don't want or can't kill everyone in the city just because one banker saw me in a wrong place :rolleyes:

That's a bad design for RPG then: either you are good to everyone in a group, or they all attack you even though most of them just couldn't know you did something wrong to one of them. At least devs could mention this "small" particular in manual.

I don't think you can blame this mess entirely on bad design, by which I mean, save your game now and then.
