hi,
Has anyone else noticed how the elevator shaft bends? On deck 2 the maint. shaft is opposite the elevator but on deck 1 the elevator is nowhere near the maint. shaft, same with deck 3, the elevator is right on the edge of the ship.
any comments?:erg:

That's high technology for you?

Yeah, I've always thought that was a bit funny myself. That and the fact that in such a huge ship there is only a single, normal-sized elevator.
By the way, you probably should have posted this in the "SS2 nitpicking fun" thread rather than starting an entire new one. Just so you know. :erg:

Although it's imaginable that the elevator moves sideways the reason are of course non-matching level layouts. The levels are built to provide good gameplay, not to realistically depict the interior of a VB sized ship.

Hey, the turbolifts in Star Trek move sideways, why not the VB's?

Copyright protection?
heh

...
What?
IceNine on 21/11/2007 at 03:30
TriOp didn't want to get sued by the Federation for copyright invasion?
OR
Irrational didn"t want to get sued by ... uh ... the guys that own the Star Trek copyrights?
So much for THAT joke... Yeesh. :-)

You're not necessarily going straight down when you go down the ladder to engineering.

That's been my assumption - the ladder goes partway down to a crawlway or set of crawlways; and from them you get to the ladder that goes down the rest of the way.
There are other crawlways on the ship so it isn't far-fetched or anything.
