I've been watching Eurovision for years. Doesn't make you middle aged, just appreciative of the high camp of it all.

The second part of the semifinals just started.
The first band (from Lithuania I think?) sings about Eastern European funk and mimics playing on styrofoam guitars. How wacky.
Second on stage is Armenia which offer an a chick singing and old dude playing a flute. Also, there is close-up foorage of cleavage. The chick's cleavage that is. Not the old guy's.
I don't like this song.
update (I'm gonna keep editing this post instead of adding new ones like some kind of an asshole)
Songs 3 & 5 were nothing to write home about, but #4, Denmark's entry was decent enough and it had a nice stageshow.
Also a special shoutout needs to go to the graphics department behind this whole show. The "introducing the next entry" graphics show up in the form of particleeffects that hover above the audience and move around realistically according to the camera-movement. I think they might be using some Augmented Reality technology for this.

Well apparently Azerbajan don't like to play fair. When the Armenian entry was played in their country the voting phonenumber was not displayed. The people who voted for Armenia anyway got (

The Romanian entry features a translucent doublesided piano. Could this be the doublenecked guitar of the 2010's?

I was just about to go to sleep when Turkish Linkin Park-wannabe's maNga comes on stage and rocks the fuck out! :D No Eurovision footage has been uploaded to youtube yet but please make do with (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_dMBP_6AqQc) this official video. Their stageshow came complete with flashing strobelights, turntables and a female samuraibot-dancer wielding a buzzsaw. Maybe it's just that there hasn't been any rock so far among this year's entries but this one really put a smile on my face.
Welp, I can't be bothered staying up to see who moves on to the finals but I hope the Turkish boys do. They should win the whole damn thing as far as I'm concerned.

I wonder if the Irish are still "picking" shit bands for Euro vision. Not like they actually care about winning anymore.
funfact:
Everyone remembers Riverdance,
Many who remembers is thinks it was Irelands entry for that year when in fact it was just the intermission song/dance while votes were recorded.
No one remembers Irelands' entry for that year, despite the fact that they won.

Greece is awesome.
Bjossi on 28/5/2010 at 22:56
I like the German song, I dig the weird accent and the chorus. Also, getting to know Lena a bit through various YT videos she seems like a fairly fun personality.
I was bummed that Netherlands didn't get to the finals. But then again I seem to be one of the few who actually liked it. :erg:

Scientists still haven't figured out whether the Eurovision Songfestival turns you gay, or you have to be (latent) gay in the first place.
I can't believe people want to discuss this.
I can't believe people want to discuss this here on a forum for gamers.
I find it even harder to believe that non-Dutch people, like Bjossi, actually liked the Dutch song ?? wtf ??
Maybe I should lay off the black tar. I seem to be losing touch with reality.

The clue is in the "Care to engage in a bit of off topic discussion".
