So looks like I might start off with Lyon weekend April 8 to 11, then hopefully go up to Paris to fly out to see a friend in Korea since I found a sweet roundtrip deal :D Would be back in Europe before end of April and holding off on Finland till later in May per henke's recommendation, so still got a whole month to fill!
If the Paris round trip to Korea works out, then I have 3 options:
1) Swing by Brussels [Belgium], Netherlands or Germany which are real close.
2) Go to Zurich [Switzerland], Milan [Italy] and still maybe Germany
3) Scrap that part of Europe and fly from Paris to one of Greece/Bulgaria/Romania/Bosnia/Austria, flight cost ain't bad.
Overall, there's no place I really wanna or don't wanna go, so I'm opening to suggestions. I think they all would be interesting in their own way!
Only exception is I kinda wanted to stop by another Slavic country since I've never been and am Slavic myself, and kind of don't want to do Amsterdam if I go to Netherlands since it's where everyone goes. So 3) looks most tempting I think...

Why Zurich in particular? Granted, I don't know it that well, but I'd probably recommend Basel over it. Bern is nice, but it's definitely more immediately touristy; Zurich might have the best clubbing options, seeing how it's where you'd find most of the young bankers, while Basel is more compact and has more alternative culture, as far as I know.
If you want a break from urban stuff, there's plenty of absolutely gorgeous places, but you said you're more into cities, right?

If you do Basel, you're right on the doorstep of Alsace too, whose wine route is breathtakingly beautiful in the spring and summer.

Feel free to say hi if you pass by Barcelona, however I must warn you, this city's touristy factor is pretty high... :p

Just cause it's the biggest city, and I am actually not an outdoorsy type. Prefer to stick to urban; would Basel deliver?
I'd actually would prefer to do non-capitals since they'd be a bit more unusual/unique than what everyone and all the travel-guides already tell you :p

@Faetal - oooh good list, noted :) Thanks!
@bass - haha, thanks but didn't mean that kind of backpacking ;p I'm not really an outdoorsy type.
