Who am I supposed to dislike now?! Portugal perhaps? We'll see about that later today when they face Iceland. (GO ICELAND!)
Definitely rooting for Iceland in this one. Climbing 100 odd places in 4 years is remarkable.

The thing that makes you a waste of time to debate with is you just ignore when a bs point you have asserted is comprehensively debunked.
You've debunked nothing, which is why you resort to outright misrepresenting me. For instance:

The same with Pirlo schooling Gerrrad at the last Euros, SD has no response. If Gerrard was the most complete midfielder in world football, why did this occur?
Let us assume, for argument's sake, that a single match can be used as evidence for anything, and let us ignore, for your sake, that both Pirlo
and Gerrard were selected in UEFA's team of the tournament at the last European Championships.
Now, the last European Championships occurred in 2012.
I (along with a multitude of professionals, ex-professionals, coaches etc) said that Gerrard was the most complete midfielder in the world in 2006.
Can you explain to me why you're trying to use something that happened in 2012 as evidence that I, and the experts, were wrong in 2006?

Yep. It was disappointing Ireland drew the game, it's a pity they switched off after their goal. Oh well.
Hope Iceland pull off a shock here, that's the romantic in me speaking!
1-1 as I type! Come on!

Come on zacharias, give it a rest.
Coming from one of the most tedious posters ever on ttlg, that's rich. Subjeff 'I'm done' multiple times only to come crawling back.
SD: You could find multiple professional coaches and players who would have offered someone other than Gerrard as the most complete midfielder in 2006. Opinions/quotes don't prove things, results/history do. The results in 06 don't support your position at all.
Euro 12 is just another example. I am not using a single match. Look at his entire international career..I have already stated if these views on Gerrard were correct he would have done something in the 04, 06, 08 tournaments surely? Especially 06.
So ok let's focus on 06. Zidane's highest performance in 06 was still well above Gerrard's although he's not the most consistent player. Haven't even mentioned Riquelme. He was another better than Gerrard in 06. Xavi also.
If he's the best midfielder in world football in 06, where were the great performances at international level?

Thank you for not disappointing, Portugal. :D They've now become my #1 anti-favourites in this tournament after the Iceland match. I had kind of forgotten about Pepe (the most obnoxious man in football) and how much I dislike him, and CRonaldo's behaviour after the game was just really childish and petulant. It's always great to see the selfish crybaby fail and get frustrated, but refusing to shake hands with the opponent after the game and whining about Iceland's defensive tactics and being very disrespectful in the post-match interview is a new low even for him.
Congratulations Iceland! \:D/

I was done. So were a lot of people, including SD for ages. I've come back, likely briefly, but how is returning "crawling".
You can't see why I'm asking you to give it a rest because you're thick as shit.

Guys, we're too old for this shit. Sometimes it's a good idea to agree to disagree and move on.
Looking forward to England v Wales later. Lots of players who all know each other very well. I can see it being another draw, leaving England possibly needing to beat Slovakia to ensure progress from the group. Everything is very much complicated by the fact that most 3rd place finishers also qualify for the next round. Takes me back to when they used to do that in the World Cup.

I'm not sure why I'm going to work today.
England - Wales at 2pm.
Germany - Poland at 8pm.
At least I work in an office with A LOT of Poles (Nigel Farage would have a field day), so I can throw some bants in their direction before I leave.
From a safe distance.
Whilst cowardly running away.

So far, so England. Hodgson playing the same stupid team that failed against Russia. Fatman giving away a freekick, and Bale scoring it when Hart really ought to have saved.
