Hello everyone!
I'm running a 1.23 updated thief. I have 2 instalations for playing and editing each.
The escape doesn't work ingame, so one i start the mission i can't acces the menu. Quick saving still works.
I've tried different missions, same problem.
It seems to be bind i guess, the following line is in dark.bnd:
bind ESC sim_menu
Help me out!
Thanks!

Not home to check my install. Do both of your installs exhibit the same behaviour ? If not copy the line from the working config. If they both have the same problem say so and we can narrow it down hopefully.

I turns out Photoshop was causing all this. (For me) After tunring it off, everything is back to normal. Ty

I saw the thread title and immediately thought "quit Photoshop."
Some more detail: Adobe Photoshop CS2 interacts badly with the AMD Catalyst drivers, and breaks the escape key. You can usually get around it by using shift+esc instead.
AMD refuse to acknowledge the problem, and of course Adobe aren't going to fix such an old version of Photoshop.
The solutions are:
* Quit Photoshop
* Use shift-escape
* Get a more recent version of Photoshop
* Buy an nVidia graphics card
