I believe it was accidently deleted when the unneeded sticky threads at the top of the forum were removed. :erg:

If I recall correctly, deleted threads get sent to an invisible forum. Why couldn't the original have been moved back from there?

It is not an automatic process. Only threads that may be needed for reviewing later are moved without a redirect to the forum. Duplicate threads and unneeded sticky threads would be deleted as they serve no purpose.
