You can edit the animation database, it's not easy but I've seen FM's where it's been done

Yep, you can edit the animations (don't ask me how to, though!) and of course record your own voices for the characters.
It's <s>not always</s> hardly ever easy, but there's not much that you can not do with Dromed. :D
