So in the graphic above, the player could buy 58 fire arrows if they wanted to
There are going to be limits to how many arrows of each type you can carry, although your general point stands...with the amount of gold that character has, they could max out every arrow type.

They've separated lethal vs non lethal uses of broad head arrow, using blunt arrows for non lethal uses. Lethal use is extremely expensive, non lethal use extremely cheap. Sounds good to me.
I would also speculate that focus plus broadhead is a one or two shot kill in combat, so you would use less.
Price of fire arrows is wierd though.

That doesn't fit with the description of the broadheads, which talks of "wide range of use", from "deadly to dextrous".
If the cost is for no other reason than to discourage lethality, that's a pretty hacky way of doing it.

Yeah, but blunt covers all non lethal uses too, and at approx 7% of the price.
Why do you call it hacky? Seems like a logical way to do it to me. Albeit stretching credibility...

Fire arrows may be fairly weak in this game. I don't think they're going to have the explosive effect of the old fire arrows. Seems like some EM person spoke disdainfully of Garrett having a rocket launcher in the original games, but I may be mistakenly attributing that to someone from EM. I do remember them saying during one of the gameplay demos that they can be used to ignite puddles of flammable liquids. And was one used to burn through a rope to cause a big crate to fall in one of the demos?

Maybe buying broadheads gets you the arrow shaft, and all the other types are just the tips. I seem to recall something about the arrow heads being modular, yeah?

I'm not sure how you can make that claim without knowing all the uses each arrow has. Has the information been posted somewhere?

Specifically because it DOES stretch credibility.

Having watched more videos it seems like they're making base consumable equipment (arrows, flashbombs and the like) super cheap while making passive upgrades to Garrett like boots that make you more silent or whatnot very big expenses. It seems like there will be a whole lot of Garrett upgrades like in TDS this time around. Can't say I'm entirely thrilled with it.

There are climbing gloves, the ability to shoot rust mites, cornerstones and cocoons; and the ability to blackjack gargoyles. Only two of them have direct gameplay influence, I wouldn't call that "a whole lot".

Yeah, there's been a fair bit of information about the blunt arrow. It covers small distractions, pressing buttons, breaking fragile things. Maybe other stuff too. Basically does everything you'd expect a small fast hard object to do, just like the broadhead used to do (and still does I imagine) when not aimed at someone.

Sure. So, mechanically, I think it's perfectly sound. It does stretch credibility though. I don't think it's a huge deal, I think it falls well within willing suspension of disbelief. But I'd probably like it better if it was 5 of 10 instead of 15 ... just to make it a little less extreme.
