It's like the book the Death of Ivan Illyich ... a silly accident over a trivial house-chore suddenly becomes the dominant factor over a person's life and death, and you can't help but reflect on how capricious life and fate are. So you learn to appreciate the good days. Reading that post I had a lot of the same feelings I had from that book: Why is fate such an ass sometimes, nobody deserves that, and holy shit am I happy to be alive and healthy right now.
