Millvina Dean, the (
http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/hampshire/8070095.stm) last Titanic survivor died today.
Will it die down now I wonder? Or will the fascination with the Titanic continue?
Millvina Dean was also my other half's great-aunt by marriage. But hey, at least we'll know that people won't want to be knowing us in the hope of meeting her. :)

In related news, I plan on murdering Celine Dion with a garden tiller sometime tomorrow, which I hope will be the final nail in several coffins. :thumb:

Now that all the survivors are dead, no one should be complaining if we decide to try and recover the Titanic and put it in a museum! :D

Funny you mention that, Queue- one of those veterans, the last surviving American vet in fact, was shipped off to Europe in 1917 on the same ship that rescued Titanic survivors in 1912, the RMS Carpathia.
Small world?
