Ok, I just killed the necromancer in Shal but not before he hit me with a spell that lowered my encuberance down to 44 from like 375 or so. I am now stuck if I want to take all my stuff with me. How do I get my encumberance back to what it used to be? I've never seen any potions or viagras of encumberance.

The most likely occurance is that he cast "Burden" on you. you can either wait for the spell to expire or you can cast dispell upon yourself. Also drinking a potion/casting a spell of "Feather" will also lower your encumbrance, but probably not enough considering the 300+ weight you now carry. Check your primary stats also, it is posible that your strength has been diminished, then you might have to eat stoneflower petals/drink a potion of restore strength/cast same spell.

Nothing I eat has any effect on me. My char. is an Argonian. My stats are still ok, just my max weight carryable. How long does a burden spell take to wear off? I've sat here for about 10 min. now.

It's not a bad idea to carry a scroll or two of divine intervention.
These will teleport you to the nearest temple.
So teleport out of there, drop all of your loot (it's not going anywhere), go get healed and then come back and collect everything.

Thanks Sinister, I was planning on using my Amulet to do this, but I was just wondering if there was another way. Oh well, the necromancer is dead and my goal is complete.:D
