Hey guys.
I finally managed to get thief up and running on XP.
(I had to borrow Thief Gold from a friend, since my Thief TDP v133 disc failed to go in-game no matter what I tried)
Anyways, now I have the same problem as Ganondark.
Nothing seems to make the texture pack work.
I've modified the install.cfg (resname_base line) in all the suggested forms..
I've created a RES folder, a CRFs folder, moved around the crf files between them. copied them to the root directory, copied the into all 3 directories..
yet nothing!
Are the new textures visible from the start of the game?
I've only loaded up the training and the 1st mission, and the graphics are the same as always.

I found my problem guy!!! :D
It was the optimization. ;)
I open darkloader, and I select the ThiefG misions directory . (C/ThiefG) and the thief G directory (C/ThiefG) It was ask to me to optimize.
After ive copied EP.crf in ThiefG directory. Ive clik on installEP.bat and I try it...
Suprise, thie 1st door in the training missions have change of interface, and the sword too, and apple, key, Potions... ALL! :D
Now I can continue The Mage Tower with a better interface. ^^
Thank You guy, you are verry patients. ;)
Thank you again. ;) Especially for the EP. ^^
Cya! ;)

Rememeber, this is an
object enhancement pack. (Well, if you are talking about Nameless Voice's Thief Enhancement Pack, which I assume is the case.) The "textures" (the walls and floors and ceilings) will still be the same. Anyway, the first thing you should notice is the sword being different. The sword should significantly look different than the old one. Doors should look different... etc etc. Post your install.cfg if you can, or try doing NV's suggestion. Good luck.

Ok, these are my current install.cfg settings:
cd_path H:\
install_path C:\Thief Gold
language english
resname_base .\EP\Thief1+.\EP+.\EP\Thief1+.\EP+C:\Thief Gold\CRFs
load_path C:\Thief Gold
script_module_path C:\Thief Gold
movie_path C:\Thief Gold\movies
Nope, double checked.
The sword, door, apples, etc. models are still the same old ones.
What am I doing wrong?
I already installed Darkloader and "optimized", but didn't do anything.
Any ideas?

Look back up at some of my previous posts if you skipped over them. Notice the one where I post my resname_base... You might try it that way, but of course with the correct thief gold folder. I also notice that your resname_base has " .\EP\Thief1+.\EP+" twice.:weird: I don't know if that could be the problem, but it seems unnecessary, so I'd remove that.
And again, like I said before, make sure EP.CRF is NOT in crfs.

Wohooooo!
It's finally working!!
Reinstalled, went over the steps again (uninstalled dark loader, and reinstalled right after new installation of Thief)
Ran the EP batch, and wada-ya-know!
The darn thing worked! :cheeky: :cheeky: :cheeky:
Thank you all for your support!
You guys kick f-ing ass! :thumb:
