GBM, I guess absence makes the heart grow fonder.
Alchemist, yeah, I guess we're from the class of 2000 or something. It's pretty sad that I can still remember my very first thread... I think it was about how the human servants in Thief 2 weren't as cool as the ones in Thief 1 or something along those lines.
Enchantermon, I wouldn't say I had guts or went far. After all, I only tried to friend her on Facebook and sent her an e-mail. It's not as if I asked her out on a date or anything like that. But I'm not really even all that depressed about it because by this point I've grown used to life's many disappointments. I guess I feel more melancholy about it than anything else.
fett, my lips haven't been that bad these last few years so I haven't had to use chapstick. Most of my problems have been more related to the gut and esophagus.

Oh and frozenman, you might want to check out the thread I did in which I tried to create a new religion based on the game Chrono Trigger. I think I called it Evoligion or something like that. Though my most notorious thread is probably still the old "Hammerites vs. Mechanists" thread, back when I used to post in my old Genesis P-Orridge style. I don't even know if that one still exists though, it was probably back in 2000.

It's like reading a letter from the pathetic loser that lurks in everyone of us. Always afraid, forever pondering, never getting anywhere. Made me feel a bit sympathetic to your lot and much better about myself.

I agree with the German on this one. You obviously should have proposed to her in the store rather then trying to bore her with chit chat.

You're still my hero, Sypha!
Seriously, nice to hear from you, and good story. A bummer, sure, but...well, I don't want to put on the Wisdom Hat giving that I haven't even graduated from goddamned college, but the vast majority of school relationships are fleeting - and try as you might to rekindle them it's just not going to happen. People have moved on. Some of them have moved on forcefully and will react with hostility to any mention of the past. There's not a lot you can do about it other than move onward and upward. I have no real friends from high school at this point, and I've finally come to terms with that reality. And feel so much better for it.
Great, now I'm emo.

I also meant to say: Sypha, I wouldn't take the friend request decline and lack of response to your e-mail as signs that she's not interested. Dames love playing hard to get. I recommend duct tape and a chloroform rag as your next logical step.

Your mistake was bringing up the year+ old Rollins poetry recommendation during a one minute chitchat. Might as well just say 'I've been obsessing over you ever since I last saw you.'
