Embarrassing, but... - by Talgor

I feel like I've missed something. Before my time, I suppose, though if it's any consolation I still play many text-based games. But pen and paper? No screen at all? Ludicrous! It boggles my mind.
It does sound very interesting though. Similar to Striker's comment, I read on one site explaining Paranoia, "Should you discover you are a Communist, you are advised to terminate yourself. It would be a lot less painful than anything The Computer would have done to you." I've also found everything seems to be treasonous. Hmm. They should make this into a PCRPG ;)

I REALLY, REALLY want to play Paranoia. And no, it's not because The Computer said so-part of it must be that anything involving a computer that terminates people for not being happy MUST be fun!
Too bad I can't find anyone into it. I haven't mastered JParanoia to the point where I can find a session and spectate to get a feel of the game.
Anyway, a new Paranoia computer game would indeed be nice. Maybe something else to buy for my DS, with Wi-Fi support to boot?

You know, we could all play this. Not through the Morrowind Forum, obviously, but if the other Moderators don't mind, a thread could be made in the General Gaming section. And I'm pretty sure no one would cheat with their dice rolls and such. 'course, you'd all have to wait for me to learn how to play!
So does Paranoia come with anything like a gameboard? A general summary of the game mechanics may be nice. I've never played anything like this before, so if I sound stupid... Blame someone else!

I quote from the freely available card game rule set (just so to avoid trouble with copyright ;):
Quote:
May I be of assistance?
Sure. Why don't you tell me how this roleplaying game works?
I'm sorry, citizen. That information is not available at this time.
Huh? Most games are really eager to teach you the rules.
Not PARANOIA. In PARANOIA you don't know the rules. You don't know who your enemies are. You don't know how your equipment works. You're never sure why you're doing anything. One thing you do know: Everyone is out to get you.
Ignorance and fear; fear and ignorance. These are your watchwords.
It appears an older version of the whole thing has been treasonously posted at
(
http://www.bluemeat.com/paranoia/intro.html)
...where you can read it all. It should give you a good idea of what PARANOIA is all about. ;)
(The site also has other Paranoia stuff, but that is also from one of the older editions, I think... Always remember: displaying any knowledge of the rules is treason!)

Alright...
now could someone explain what Ken Rolston has got to do with Morrowind?

Have a look in your manual.
