Well this just looks so perfect... I needed to be told when a guard was suspicious... not that the guard is much of a threat considering how dumbly they stand around when they have detected you. Woww, the blackjack can block sword strikes? Who knew they were so strong xDDD. It's important also to rack up points in Thief apparently "40 XP!" Golly, i'm gonna put it towards upgrading my bow! And that Focus mode look's suspiciously like Void Gaze to me. :tsktsk: They've really done it haven't they? It's simply shocking that with all the time they've had, this is the best they can come up with.

It's not Thief. Not even remotely. My opinion and I'm standing by it. Rather, walking out the door with it. I won't be spending one cent on this travesty.

May depend on difficulty level.

Or getting a new skill that no one is forcing you to get. Or don't you have any self control, at all?

Yep, it kind of does!

Like a T-Rex?
Even better if they stay that way in third person.
Turtledove on 11/6/2013 at 02:21
The HUD reveals way too much information, such as location of the player ie-Northcrest Manor-Main Gardens, the levels of guard alertness and the like. Then when you throw in third person takedowns and focus mode...
Even if you account for difficulty settings..This is looking bad.

jtr7: I think it's a usual practice in gamedev. Firstly, the game aimed on the nextgen platform is designed on PC. Then, when the game developers take a nextgen devkits, they adapt their game on the consoles. After that, someone (in this case, Nixxes) ports the game on PC.
They just dont make bears like they used to... :sly:

I wonder if that is an option you'll be able to toggle off.

You've got to admit, it's not a good sign when the most balanced reactions to the trailer are to wonder about how much of it can be turned off or avoided.

Good point.

The reactions supposedly in opposition to the "5" of us are very telling in how hysterical and overblown and crafted around desperate denials, and that's when it's not clearly coming from simply not having a problem with how games are typically made. Gamers will be gamers. Gamers gotta game!
When they aren't reacting to people on the boards (their favorite game, even more than any Thief title!), they actually state they have problems with this and that, but it's okay if they do it in their voice.

Sometimes it truly feels as if you speak in circles just to get the last word in.
