New Garrett...
How can we miss you if you won't go away?

I never missed Garrett. I missed more backstory and insights from the old devs, and lack of LGS innovation in games after LGS shut down.
Hearing nuGarrett, I miss Stephen in that role, and hearing the awful craptastic writing, I miss Laura Baldwin's style and the writing of the old teams even more.
Each media release makes Garrett seem more and more of a fetishist. Now he's really sounding like he's getting off on fashion.

'Did you miss me?'
How can I miss someone who never existed before this in my world? You're not Garrett: you are NuGarrett - most definitely NOT the same. And that just doesn't work for me, so please stop trying to convince me otherwise. Your ramblings and preoccupation with all your fancy NuNinja-type clothes puts me off even more. I'm still wondering what the hell is up with that infernal corset?! EM: just STOP! Go back to the drawing board. Please!
Unless the opposite's already been stated (and I didn't get the memo), I rather doubt EM will have anything coherent ready for E3; unless they've worked the kinks out of their original 10-months-in-production fiasco, but if so I'd be interested in seeing some actual gameplay involved (I get the feeling I'm asking for the moon here). However, to my dismay I find my hopes slowly crumbling that EM will create a Thief game which I'll enjoy. My disappointment regarding T4 grows more with every new bit of info EM releases.

Go. Away.

I hear you Dia:
The trailer was okay, but didn't seem to bring anything new to the table. (Ticking the boxes for showing off the flashy bow and the guard confrontations just like the previous trailer)
However, the last line of dialogue ruined it for me. It just seemed so out of character for Garrett to say anything like that. Now it's the main part of the trailer that sticks in my mind. :erg:

Jesus H. Christ, this a thousand times. Last time I checked Garrett thieved, he didn't hop around in his goddamn corset reciting poetry and rhyming... he must have little to do up in that dark clocktower, so he devotes his time to writing about his feelings and putting them into emo poems. I have no doubt he sends these poems to the newspapers as well, as little clues for the City Watch... a "try and catch me" thing....he'll be like the Riddler, and probably Jack the Ripper in no time at the rate he'll cut down guards. I have no clue who this poser is, but he's stolen an icon's name and is pretending to be him, because he knows he will never amount to the One True Keeper. Cut the crap already EM, with this combined with Deus Ex The Fail, I am absolutely assured they will be dead and buried by the time Thief comes out if they do not alter their course. Essentially, they are standing right now digging their own grave as we watch on and try to stop them, to help them... but our help goes ignored :nono:
In the words of the true Garrett: "Nice poem."

You did a good job but you chose an awful track. What a horrible metal bore remix.
Renault on 8/6/2013 at 14:58
Yeah, but the point is that the music is in the same spirit as the original Thief trailer, not to mention that it was made by someone who was specifically trying to imitate music from the Thief trailers.
You get that, right?
