Garrett always was pretty cocky and self centered.
Was he ever that arrogant and cocksure, though?
Also...
- Did you miss me?
- Who are you?

Weird, I've never thought of Garrett as cocky or arrogant. Just nonchalant and indifferent, and yes, self-centered.

Has any information been released at all as far as editing tools for the community or is it just assumed at this point there will be some?
Quite the opposite unfortunately, I think the assumption is that there wont' be any since it hasn't been mentioned by EM and SE doesn't have the best history in this area.

"No editor is currently scheduled, under any form."

Wait, that was supposed to be Garrett himself narrating things? It was so bland and generic sounding that I thought it was just a third-person narrator for some reason...
This is good news, means this POS will be relegated to the dust bin and forgotten within a year of release at most.

Man, there is some really awful, false info in the article:
Quote:
When asked about the possible implementation of a mod editor in the upcoming Thief the team denied an official feature. The big and wealthy mod community is using “The Dark Mod”, a total conversion mod for the engine of Doom 3, by Broken Glass Studios. An entire collection of levels, created by the fans, are available;
entirely gravitating around the world of Thief.Also...

Wish I had brought chips when I watched the trailer, so much cheese.

I think the VA does a nice job at sounding like Russell
Defenitely, I thought it
was Russell for a moment there. :D

There might be a frame or two of gameplay footage when he's climbing the wall. Hard to tell.
That looked more like CGI to me. Some gameplay will supposedly be shown off on tuesday though. Can't wait! :)

His accent doesn't work, and rings of an impostor when heard...NuGarrett's lines cheapen the character, as well.

Stealing is my way of life, it sets me free in the night.
Every rivet and stitch lets my find what I most desire.
The cloth that hides me, the tools that arm me, all lead to that priceless moment.
You may think you've caught me but think again because when I want something I will always get,
I am Garrett, did you miss me?
How can you miss someone who was never Garrett? :eww:

It's only a short cinematic trailer, so one shouldn't put too much importance on it, but the thing that irks me in it is the quality of scripwriting as I mentioned before (might go under the fact that it's just a short trailer, as in not their biggest concern at the moment) and specifically the fact that Garrett is talking directly to the audience/player. Sure, that's common in trailers, but somehow it annoys me here. It's like "Hey, did you miss me, your favourite video game character?".
Not sure, if I'm being clear, but it annoys me nonetheless. It's just a small thing though.
