Doesn't look half bad on its own, although Garrett's monologue seems a bit out of character as was already pointed out multiple times. But, bah! Still no gameplay.

Lynch me if you want, but I think the new voice actor does a good job. The script this far has been mediocre at best. They have painted Garrett quite vain this far and it's somewhat out of character as Briareos mentioned. Awaiting E3 with excitement, because they must have some gameplay to show there (be it good or bad).

I agree. At least from my foreigner point of view, I think the VA does a nice job at sounding like Russell, and his performance certainly is better than the lines he's reading.
But no! Let's make a petition!

I laughed when he said "did you miss me ?"
He's like a brand new character, he doesn't look nor sound like the good old garrett so far. This line doesn't work at all :laff:

Sorry, but the video makes T4 look an awful lot like nothing more than a TDS remake; with a NuBow. In my opinion, of course. NuGarrett sounds like he just inhaled helium and comes across as way too chatty - the real Garrett didn't go off on a running commentary on himself, just on the mission briefings. Don't like it. NuGarrett also seems preoccupied by his clothes. Wtf is up with that? Half expected him to break out singing the 'I'm Too Sexy' song.

Also agree that the voice sounds good but the lines were bad. I quite liked the first trailer, but am not a fan of this one.

There might be a frame or two of gameplay footage when he's climbing the wall. Hard to tell.
His eye certainly doesn't look mechanical, does it? I wonder if they're going with a mystical explanation in the reboot, which would explain the blue smoke.
At one point he seems to be firing an arrow with 4 hooked prongs. Rope arrow?

I enjoyed the trailer and thought the voice actor did a great job. As cheesy as it is "Did you miss me?" works for me personally due to the cheesy humorous conversations between NPCs that you aren't supposed to be overhearing serving as my favorite part of Thief. Hell even the very first conversation you come upon in thief (Do you wanna go to the bear pits tomorrow?) sounds stupid out of context but is great in the game environment. Garrett always was pretty cocky and self centered.
If and when the game ever does actually get released I'm looking forward to at least giving it a shot. If it sucks then I'll go back to playing and enjoying Thief 2 fan missions and just shrug it off. Either way no big deal.
Has any information been released at all as far as editing tools for the community or is it just assumed at this point there will be some?
